Wow! That cover is so great on so many level. Definitely the classic kind of cover that would get one interested in picking up the book.

O and logo... hat's off, JB. That is one really appealing logo. Simple and clear while sort of blazing out the words FUN CLASSIC SUPERHERO ADVENTURES to me.And that with only two letters to do it. I'm so giddy with anticipation that I fell like jumping up and down on the spot like a little over-excited child.

the rest of you, give 'em to the kids in your life) because that's who I wrote
this for.

I'm sorry to say that I don't have any children of a good age to share the book with (especially as they'd probably need to be a bit older to conquer the English language), but I hope that you don't mind my saying that from what I've seen so far I definitely feel like I belong to the target audience. Darn it Wayne, you make me feel like a big happy kid just waiting for it.
Christmas comes late this year, clearly... or very early next year, quite possibly. :)

O and I forgot... would somebody give a shout out when the the Diamonds catalogue soliciting the first issue is out. I'll definitely get in touch with a comics store here in town at that point.

yep, sweet cover indeed!

And even with just shadows, we can guess Dracula, the Mummy, and Frankenstein as the source of fear...

And that cover... really remind me my time in Art School when we were ... experiencing textures ( foliages of leaves are nice also! )

Hey Wayne,

One month away, have you decided whether you will be attending MidOhioCon?

I usually let this thread lie fallow for a couple of days or so and then check it
out, so today was the first time I'd seen the cover for issue 2 -- I absolutely
love that logo design.

And the toilet paper dipped in ink? I've seen plenty of variations on that --
watched John Totleben ink a Swamp Thing sketch Steve Bissette did using a
similar technique at Chicago Comicon '85 (or was it '84?). Awesome effect.

Wayne can even get his very own Bad Byrne Story out of this!

"JB inked my comic with used toilet paper!"

Still haven't decided, Joe. It's been a busy two weeks or so around here so I
haven't had a lot of time to think about it. But I'd best get to pondering if
I'm gonna go........
