George Carlin has this great bit where he says he is writing a diet book.  It's called "Eat Right, Stay Fit- Die Anyway".

Gotta love Carlin

I went through a big program myself that included kickboxing, resistance training and dieting.  I hit the gym 6 times a week for 45 minutes and ate six times a day for about 1800 calories.  It has been a HUGE lifestyle change.  In 10 weeks I went from a 28.8% bodyfat to 10.1% bodyfat while only losing 16 lbs.  So basically, I dropped 40 lbs of fat and put on 26 lbs of muscle.

The program is called Ultimate Body Challenge and it is franchised at a lot of different gyms. I highly recommend it.

Oh, and 8 weeks later, the weight change and bodyfat change has maintained. Like i said, a big lifestyle change.

I lost 15 pounds recently after I had an ear infection.
I cut all refined sugars and white flours out of my diet during my recovery and have kept them out, and I managed to keep the resulting V-shape. I've packed on an additional 8 pounds of muscle in the last month, and my strength is finally recovering from the setback of the illness. I'm back at 200 lbs on a 5'8" frame, 32 inch waist, 47 inch chest, and 17 inch arms. No drugs.

So it's not always diet and exercise, it's also ear infections!
