Six pages that tell a pretty good mystery: beginning-middle-end.

Modern Marvel/DC would have turned that into a mini series, padding it out with gratuitous sex, irrelevant violence, and "snappy dialogue" that nobody uses in the real world.

And someone would pipe up and ask "Where did The Goddamn Batman go?"

It's not the book i own, i have a B&W edition, but i think it must be the Batman book, then.
It was the french re-edition (Futuropolis, for the french members). I've always thougth it was the original.
The colors on this one are too flashy.

What this commission really made me notice was the chin-lock Batman is
giving the bad guy. I mean swinging high over the city and holding a guy by
the neck like that – now that's one brutal Dark Knight!
