X-Plus is well known for their accuracy in their sculpts of the Toho & Ultraman monster suits for their figures... But, I'd rather not have it rubbed in that this character was just a guy in a suit:

I'd rather that it wasn't $400. Especially for a novelty that I'll never enjoy as it sits in my glass cabinet. can I have a nice $100 one? $150? Oh well...

Well, X-Plus had released some reasonably priced Robbys in the past, but alas they're now discontinued or long out of stock... http://www.hlj.com/product/XPS00522 http://www.hlj.com/product/XPS29798

I suppose this was "reasonably priced", all things considered…

Now, that Robby certainly is worth every penny paid, JB! BTW, I like that terra cotta Chinese soldier statue in the background too.

Yes, John, but does your Robby have a full size person in it? ;-)

Plus the cost of keeping the person in there. They would still have to eat, and if you wanted them to be a permanent fixture you'd need to make some pretty interesting plumbing renovations.

Watched NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM last night... It'd be pretty wild if something similar happened at JB's house whenever he goes to asleep or is travelling...
