Isn't that supposed to be Scott recovering from the head injury he received after falling from his parents' plane? His powers would have been dormant then.

Re; Those Mattel Retro DC figures: it always bugged me that they never did a Mego Flash, Green Lantern or Lex Luthor (not counting the 12'' movie tie-in). Looks like someone's finally correcting that oversight.

Re: That Hughes Catwoman (yum!) and the girlfriend that it reminds JB of: You let her get away 'cause she actually had a cat o' nine tails? Or 'cause she didn't...?

JB-What do you see wrong with the Days Of Future Past statue?

••

Forgive what may seem a rather glib reply, but what ISN'T wrong with it??

Looking at the statue and the cover it was based on again:
On the cover, Kate Pryde is taking a defensive posture. On the statue, it looks like she's calling for someone to save her from Wolverine.

Those retro Mego's look very cool!  Childhood coming back.  Wonder if the Batman will have the removable mask or not.  They look fun.

Normally I think these things are cute, and I have a bunch of them, but…

…sculpted speedlines?

Given his pose, they'd have to sculpt something there just to keep him standing.

Has this become the ugly f*cking action figure/statues thread?

This is Batman: Black and White Catwoman by Steve Rude.

I can't see much Rude in it, but it isn't terrible.

DC Chronicles Aquaman is on another page. These are the others.

I'm not sure how to feel about these. They do look "timely" in that I think if you took an actor in the 1930s (directed by Orson Welles) and put him in a faithful costume, this is what you'd get. I kind of dig that the sculptor didn't pussyfoot around "thug" Superman, because Superman was definitely "hood" back in the Golden Age!

Call me crazy, but the coolest thing I saw coming out is a statue thing in conjunction with the next DVD release:

Owlman!

Now that I like for sure!
