Well, sorry about that, JB...  It sounded pretty close to the original voice to me...

Picked up the Hallmark Robby the Robot. Nicely made, but disappointed
that the voice is not that of Marvin Miller.

The Hallmark Christmas Story leglamp from a year or two ago was the same way.  It had lines from the movie but the voice isn't Darren McGavin's.  It was a bit of a disappointment.  Another ornament maker released a leg lamp complete with crate a few years ago.  That one used clips from the movie.

Forgive me, Father, I know not what I do.  Damn me and my impulsive shopping ways!  Some white paint is definitely in order to reduce the sculpted nose and gray effects.

I balked at picking up that figure for that very reason. The grey shading just makes the figure look dirty. I was hoping for a repaint that does not have it.

I think I'm just going to tape/Silly Putty it off and use white spray paint except around the face.  I don't care if it gets in the joints, I don't buy them to pose them anyway.

I don't understand why they shade figures anyway; figure makers, there's this phenomenon called "light" that will do it for you. Save your paint.

Forgive me, Father…

Sorry, no can do. You must do penance. Chant the Canadian National
Anthem 10 times and run 20 kilometers while carrying 40 litres of melted
snow.

Has a Jim Lee feel to it.

Should the part go the other way like in the head on the background comic?
