When I saw Bowen Designs was doing blue and red versions of the Angel's Neal Adam's inspired costume, I emailed Randy to ask if a black version was also in the pipeline. His reply -- "There's a black version?" - - answered my question! So I ordered the blue one, and upon its arrival today, set to work with my PITT brushes. BEFORE:
AFTER:
Left the boots white -- on Neal's version they are black leather jackboots. That "fix" would have required a little more surgery than I'm up for! (Besides, I kinda like the white boots!)

That black version of Angel looks sharp. The white parts of the costume really stands out and helps the wings look more majestic.

I like that black Angel. Very sharp.A question for you, JB. Since the graduation uniforms of the original X-Men were predominantly black-plus-accent-color (black/yellow, black/white, and black/red) can you envision a uniform for Marvel Girl that would work as a black/green combo? The green/yellow seemed out of place somehow, and I never really warmed up to it. The only time I liked seeing it was in X-Men #137 when she chose to meet her fate while wearing it. That was a nice touch.

Thinking about Angel, and looking at those Bowens...I wonder if...from a camoflage perspective...that blue and white would have made more sense rather than black? And the black does look slick...amazing what a difference it makes.
