It must take the Ultimate Captain America forever to get dressed in the morning -- that's a lot of layers and buckles.

Except for the pouches on the gauntlets, which seem a tad impractical, that Ultimate Cap looks to me very much like a design that would have come out of the 1930s, so on that level at least I have no problem with it.

As to how long it would take him to "get dressed" -- looks to me like there are fewer "layers" there than Batman wears. So assuming he doesn't have to load those pouches (as Batman does not have to load his utility belt) every morning, again I see no problem.

I'm pretty fond of the look of Ultimate Cap but not the character.

Did anyone up to JB's time on Cap ever draw the eyebrows so prominently?  I don't remember ever seen Cap's eyebrows and now it seems like everyone does it that way.

I mean, speaking from a secret identity standpoint, wouldn't he want his mask to cover them up? (plus, I just think it looks dumb)

That Batman bust looks like Maddox work.  Is it an official DC release?  I know Maddox did a Batwoman for the DC line.  Is he doing more Bat work?

To me, the eyebrows are one of those affectations that just scream "Hey, look! We're so much SMARTER than the CREATORS of this character! Look at the clever CHANGES we made!"

In the real world, given the shape of the eyeholes on his mask, Cap's eyebrows probably WOULD pop out -- but in the real world, nobody in their right mind would put on a flag costume and charge into a battlefield. Willing suspension of disbelief, people!!

I think Ultimate Captain America looks cool, but I don't think he looks like a superhero. He looks more like a character out of GI Joe or part of a SWAT Team.
