I'm more concerned, tho, that you apparently cannot see the difference
between the grotesquely proportioned, hip cocking, butt thrusting, utterly
out of character "Invisible Woman" statue and this surprisingly
demure "Wonder Girl" piece.
I think you're projecting your dislike of the Invisible Girl into things that aren't nearly as blatant as you proclaim. I'm just as surprised that you find the jut of a hip to be such an overtly offensive action as to claim that statue is completely off-model. Slightly exaggerated in a conceit of the cartoon form and that piece is an abomination?
The Wonder-Girl is a fanboy's wet dream although, granted she isn't doing anything but standing there but she is a young girl that is wearing an outfit designed for nothing more than taking it off. I mean, she's just a stripper for crying out loud.
I agree that the Invisible Woman isn't a Buscema or Kirby or Byrne but her costume and treatment are far more respectful than that character that's never been seen or anything close to what was originally designed.

Andy, you do see the MAX and "Explicit Content" warnings on the Invisible Woman image, don't you?
Seems SOMEBODY knows this statue is not so innocent.

It has been revealed: The next two Marvel Bishoujo statues from Kotobukiya will be Psylocke and Dark Phoenix!

http://tomopop.com/sdcc-kotobukiya-x-marvel-mini-panel-a-win ner-is-me-8216.phtml
The link above has a photo showing a color version of design sketches on a video display, and the Jean Grey design is using the Dark Phoenix color scheme (which could possibly change).

Sideshow Adam Hughes Mystique:

Having seen this at SDCC, I think it has replaced Rogue as my favorite in the Sideshow AH line.
Sideshow Mark Brooks Scarlet Witch:

I really like the concept and I really like Wanda's face on the sculpt, but that top and the fake boobs are so gross.

I like the Mystique, but how long has it been, really, since anyone remembered that the key word in describing Wanda is "demure"?

Never cared about Mystique, but that is a fine statue. The Scarlet Witch is disgusting. The Black Widow... a bit too hippy, maybe, but it's the face that bothers me -- too much like a mid-West American girl instead of a sultry Russian woman.

JB,
Is that a Gladiator statue looming behind the new Black Widow? If so I don't think I've seen that one...

Yup. Think I posted it previously, but to save both of us a hunt. . .

Pity about that Scarlet Witch statue -- it's a beautiful sculpt and a cute concept. But that costume; blech. When did Wanda become the Scarlet Harlot?
