Nice Abomination statue. Face reminds me a little of Fin Fang Foom, but a pretty dynamic pose.

I have collected most -- tho definitely not all -- of the Batman Black & White figures. (I'll most likely be passing on any of the new one that aren't Batman himself, or are of "alternate" Batmen.) One thing that strikes me, tho, is that, cool as most of the sculpts are, they rarely manage to truly capture the style of the artists they are purporting to represent. I was struck by this especially with the "George Perez" sculpt. Seriously, if they had released that as a "John Byrne" Batman, would you have been any the wiser?

(The recent "Neal Adams" sculpt is a particularly odd one. Not only does it not capture Neal's style, it is mounted on the base facing in the opposite direction from the iconic shot on which it is modeled!)

regarding the Batman B&W 'George Perez', I think it doesn't evoke Perez's style over-much because he (and JB) draws ON-MODEL in a way that doesn't allow quirkyness to come through in a sculpture.
example, the Mike Mignola statue is identifiable as his because of his very distinct art style.
JB is right, one could believe that it was his design.

Just like drawing faces, an average looking person is a more difficult likeness to capture in contrast to someone who has very distinguishing traits. (old people are easy to identify because they have many wrinkles to 'assist' in recognizing the likeness) Kind of like characiture(sp?) artists.

That being said, I love the look of the GP Batman because it is somewhat 'generic'. It doesn't have a 'signature'.

Chad, they have that Robot in Black as well?  It's definitely related to Robbie the Robot then.
