Randy Bowen has posted this picture of his forthcoming Captain America statue on our site. This has lead to discussion as to whether or not he should sculpt Cap's uniform the way that he always has in previous sculpts...the "classic" look (subtle chainmail scales) as portrayed by such Cap artists as Kirby, Romita Sr., Sal Buscema, John Byrne, Mike Zeck, Ron Garney, etc...

or...

Should he sculpt the uniform in the "Modern" stylings of artists, such as Kevin McGuire & John Cassaday? This "revisionist" look includes the following changes ---  a "molded" mask with lines on it, a line across the top of the shirt, large-individual-plate/feather-like-scales, a "utility belt."

I have created a poll on the site. If you have any intention of buying this statue, please take the time & vote http://www.statuemarvels.com/f87/bowen-designs-captain-ameri ca-action-uniform-classic-modern-3288.html

Randy does value his customers' opinions & reads as well as posts on the site regularly. Let your "voice" be heard!

Personally, I'm all about the classic look. If any of you know me, you know that I consider the changes to the uniform in recent years as an abomination & completely unnecessary, but don't let my "humble" opinion sway you!

There will (of course) be a mandatory 1/4 scale Hawkgirl to follow.

He'll probably end up being about 20 inches tall to the top of his helmet, and about 21 inches to the helmet's wing tips.

Sorry to ask a second time, but I'm really curious to know if my eyes are as good as I think: Is that a JB Cap on the upper left corner of the back of the Cap bobble-head box?
