They were supposed to be pockets.
---------------
Pockets???
Would make more sense if they were padding, like NFL players wear, on her hips to protect from bruising, etc during a battle.

She has golden pockets, wrist braces, shoulder pads, head gear, but nothing on her feet but the unitard?

It makes about as much sense to me as Storm and Cyclops carrying pulse rifles.
Cyclop's 90's custom had more pockets than Batman's utility belt, and I don't think I ever ONCE saw him take anything out of them. The Legion with through this phase too, which is why I gave up reading a lot of titles during that era.

Based only on characters I really love, I didn't like the Hawkeye bust much.

To be fair, the Legion actually used their pockets. Omnicoms, transsuits,
telepathic earplugs... the Legion enjoys their gadgets.

Excellent sculpts of bad characters is about the only sin of which they are
guilty.
Like, the world was crying out for the Bi-Beast???

Plenty ... just off the top of my head.
Black Widow (bust and statue) ... too cartoony Spider Woman (Julia Carpenter) ... have you checked out the head on this one? Sasquatch ... lousy representation of the character, no smile, scales off, no arms Storm (mini bust) ... WAY off scale, the sculpt is just poor Black Cat (bust) ... just a horrid representation Juggernaut (bust) cut off is terrible Hawkeye .. looks like Jeff Probst in a purple mask Rawhide Kid ... Randy should have left Willam's original face alone Fantastic Four Mini Bust set ... the whole thing was just badly done. Dr. Strange ... nice but could have been better. Doc Sampson ... same thing. Attuma ... can only be displayed on a top shelf because of the angle of the head, and its most definitely not a top shelf character. Ghost Rider ... YUCK worst bust ever
These are all of course matters of opinion, I'm sure there are those that will disagree with me.
