I don't like the face AT ALL.  Seems to me Galactus' face should be eerily perfect.

Really like the new deluxe version of Wonder Woman by Tonner.

At the very least, sad rather than angry!

A small frustration for me, after all the time and effort I put into "restoring"
Galactus, has been how artists after me have interpreted his eyes. Kirby
gave us this, in the first story:

Clearly, some kind of structure within the helmet itself, in front of his
actual eyes, and even tho Kirby himself abandoned that look (or, more likely,
simply forgot!) I went back to it for my take on the character. Unfortunately,
no one, including the colorists on my issues, looked at the source, and it
was not long before Galactus was being drawn with square pupils and irises
-- most obvious in Layton's HERCULES miniseries -- clearly not at all what
Kirby intended.

This sculpt seems to be continuing down that unfortunate path.

Here are a couple of links to some NYCC '09 new toy pics.

Hoo boy, more MIghty Muggs a comin'. While I limited myself to just the
SW and Marvel series, I am still running out of room on the self. Might
need to consider throwing in the towel on this.

Mighty Muggs seem to be losing a certain something, from my perspective.

Looks like DC Direct will be getting more money from me, however,
especially if the finished products closely resemble the ones on display.

Thanks for that link Dwayne!
Lots of great stuff to see.

JB, I'm sure you're already aware of this item, but in case you aren't, here's a nice shot.

I figure it's something you're interested in.

Because of JB I purchased the Museum Quality Wonder Woman statue as my Christmas present to myself... I am going to have to approach a lot of those wunnerful DC Direct items cautiously!
