The outline of the figures looks bolder and stronger. I like it!

First, Fantastic commission! Second….Odd question for JB, what kind of strength does Medusa’s hair have? Is it like Dr. Octopus’s arms witch needs support to lift things?

The "floating fours" for Sue and Crystal are a nice touch too.

Man that is just COOL! It is amazing to me how easily JB can channel artistic styles and "sell" them completly while still retaining his own indistinguishable look.

Great idea!
And very energetic!
And once I took a closer look, noticed Sue and Crystal's "floating fours" are
casting a three-dimensional shadow. Are they supposed to be sticking out,
or is that just the way they need to be drawn?
(Something like the trick to doing Spider-Man's costume web lines)

Oh
My
Stars!
Mr. Byrne- thank you so very much for accepting my commission request and creating this absolutely incredible piece! I knew any artwork created would have been brilliant but this...this went well beyond any expectations. Dare I say these are among the loveliest interpretations of these four fantastic characters I have ever seen. I will cherish this first (but hopefully not the last) John Byrne piece of artwork for all time. I am very, very honored to take eventual possession of this.
Thanks of course also to Jim Warden for facilitating the deal!
Yay!

Oh and just to answer some typical general interest questions for the forum-
I knew for my first ever John Byrne commission I wanted a Fantastic Four themed piece as I absolutely loved JB's entire Marvel FF run. I saved for about a year and as most of us do, went back and forth many, many times trying to determine exactly what I wanted. Over this period of time, the last three volumes of the Essential FF had been released and I enjoyed being taken back to the days when both Crystal and Medusa had been actual temporary members of the team in different periods. Then seeing all the great She-Hulk commissions Mr. Byrne had recently created really made me want her in my piece as well. So by then it was easy to ask for the all female membership of the FF team!
In my request I only specified character and outfit and left the rest to Mr. Byrne and Wah-la!
Man this is awesome!
