was reading the current issue of the Brave and the bold and this caught my eye;

wasn't the "Siamese Human Knot" used in an episode of the 60's Adam West Batman tv series? i'm taking a guess due to the "Holy Hamstrings" quote.

Sure was.  The episode called "Nora Clavicle and the Ladies' Crime Club".  Only I think it might have been "Thai-amese" rather than Siamese, the same way the Dynamic Duo visited "Londinium" rather than London.

I am really enjoying the Brave and Bold series!! Great art and great story. Thats the kind of Batman I enjoy, just like the Batman JB had in Generations!

The George Perez art in The Brave and the Bold has been making me so happy month after month. Top-of-the-stack reading for me.

One of the few current titles that give me nothing to complain about.

Yeah Aaron, this is one of like 2 or 3 issues I buy every month, and if I mis a
month I don't feel like I have missed much. Very sad. I used to buy a lot
more every monh.

Aaron, Bradley, I thinks this is the moment for one of those "what's good now" threads!

My guess is that "Binder Alley" pays tribute to writer Otto Binder.

Two "in-jokes" in one panel, both directed at the
over-40 crowd. Hmmmmm…

I consider this an example of multi-layered storytelling, some get it , some don't,but it doesnt detract from the story.

the "Holly-....." stuff is easilly understandable.

I didn't get that the siamese one was a ref to the Batman Tv show.

But this is really a minor element, barelly a wink, in a great comicbook very new-reader friendly overall.
