Stan's not that old in the pic. He's got his own real hair and everything.

Marv Wolfman or Tom DeFalco?

I don't know if I would go so far as saying that was Stan's real hair.

That guy in the Spider-Man pic above looks a lot like Chris Claremont.

Decades ago, "Comics Scene" magazine had a picture of the live-action Marvel performers at the White House alongside Rosalyn Carter and her daughter Amy.  Spider-Woman was there, as was Spidey, the Green Goblin, and a Captain America whose build, smile, and cleft chin make me almost certain he was the young Jonathan Frakes.

I haven't had any luck finding this picture on the internet.  Has anyone else seen the shot I'm remembering?

+++++++++

I have an old Starlog mag where Frakes' participation in this event is discussed, so, yeah, it's him. I think there might be a photo, too.

*********

I believe that it has been revealed that Stan has been wearing a toupee since the early 1960's.  Jack Kirby even had Funky Flashman with one in the fourth world books if I remember correctly.  Perhaps JB knows the truth?

Nathan:  Wasn't the man under the mask revealed in an issue of Comic Book Artist or some such?  I seem to remember somebody mentioning that photo in an interview, but can't remember who.

Could it be the clone of Nicholas Hammond?

Maybe. I don't have all of the Comic Artist Magazines.

Ok... here's another clue: He had a booth and a sketchbook at the San Diego Con (this year and last).

And another hint: He doesn't draw comic books.

Do most of these Spider-Man outfits have that many seams?

It's gotta be a "pre-Fresh Prince" Wil Smith.

"Ah HELL no..."
