Man did I love Sal's work at this time. I think he's done the best stuff of his career on the latter end, the stuff with Gerry Talaoc on HULK, and SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN and Simonson's THOR.

My best friend has that VHS as well, both of us wish they'd gotten around to adding JB to the list of interviewees..

Wee art lesson, in this thread. Scroll thru the graphics and notice how many artists make the classic punch-arcs-down impactee-arcs-up mistake (one I have made myself).

This is by Dick Dillin...
This is pretty interesting, but I'm not up on physics...does this suggest that the Atom's "lightweight" density lessens the effect of that thug's blow, like if you smack a fly in the air and it continues buzzing around seemingly unharmed? Like its lesser weight creates less impact? Or is that because of its exoskeleton?

"What is CBA 22?"
Comic Book Artist issue 22, if I'm not mistaken. A rather well done magazine about classic comics.

Is this an example of overhand punch, upward arcing body?
Rather, it looks like the hittee should be traveling in another direction?

Yes. Deliberately so, in that case, since it's a
"comicbook page".

I wasn't aware this thread was about lifting panels out of context and applying our own interpretations to them...?
