Sure it would, Chad.  Only ROM would disembowel Wolverine, who would take three issues to rebuild himself and plot his revenge.  Which would of course not be shown until the next big event:  ROM versus everybody.

I always thought John Buscema's Ben Grimm the Thing was my favorite version of the character. There's a brutish ape-like quality that really appeals, and the Thing is still a Thing, not a fuzzy bear.

Here, Ben does a bongo drum. Plus, it's nice to see Ben getting a little berserker with concern.

Wallace, run to find Rom. It's a great series that I still have a hard time believing was based on a lousy toy. And while I always thought Sal Buscema drew square faces and hands, he could draw an ass-whipping with the best of them, as in Chad's post above.

BTW, can somebody give me an idea where to find all this web-ready old art? I am most interested in posting the page in COIE #12 where Kal-L punches the Anti-Monitor into non-existence. Perez is just terrific.

Also, Legion of Super-Heroes (vol 1) #295 has a great scene drawn by Howard Bender that taught 13 year old Jim how to draw a character punching.

I wish they would reprint Rom in the Essential format.

A lot of scans on comicartfans.com, which is a huge repository and link site to find such art being sold and traded. It's a world I can only imagine.

This is an unused cover to DAREDEVIL that eventually became a classic Kirby piece. Here, DD is creaming Cap, which apparently didn't sit well with the Marvel of the time.
