I lucked into passing a Krystle Burger last year (no White Castle or Krystle where I live) and was amazed to find that my enormo-cup featured art by Kevin Nowlan!

Assuming you mean Krystal - http://www.krystal.com - you have my sympathy, Kurt. I couldn't live anywhere without a Krystal nearby.

Justice League 200 is a very good issue.  I wasn't getting Justice League regularly when it came out but I did get that issue.  I think it took me about two weeks and a lot of flipping through it before I decided to get it, though.  It was a whopping $1.50, back when most comics were only 60 cents!

That Hamburgler is neat.

Regarding the Captain America cover...  I have no problem with the artist's decision to add a crumbling panel behind Cap, but wouldn't his shield absorb the impact of the Hulk's punch?  Also, I've been wondering...  If Captain America were to fall from the top of a twenty story building and land shield first, would he be protected from the impact?  If so, would that protection also keep the bones of his body from breaking after coming to such a sudden stop?

Every time I see that pic of Gladiator smacking the Thing through those cars, and the Thing smacking Terrax through those buildings, it reaffirms my stance that JB is not only the King of the Super-Hero Punch, but he's also the King of Super-Hero Action. Word.

The vibranium element in Cap's shield would absorb much of the impact, but I think there's enough Cap would feel for writers and artists to have some license.

As I said, I have no problem with the crumbling panel at Captain America's back, but I thought his shield absorbed all of the force of an object's impact, not just a portion of it.

Played correctly, Cap's shield should harmlessly absorb all impact, with absolutly nothing passing thru to whoever is holding it. However, that makes for kinda dull fight scenes, so artists tend to play it fast and loose, which can sometimes lead to writers playing it even faster and looser.

(Techincally, Cap's oft-seen trick of ricochetting his shield of multiple obejects wouldn't work, either. First impact, the shield would absorb all the energy, and there would be no bounce. Where's the fun in that?)
