Yep, in my one Minute Later, Baron Karza (a strategist and powerful villain) has turned his back on his opponents, the Micronauts, to say in a word balloon "Patience is a virture Mr. Finn."

JB -- I will say it again, every time I pass the Captain America #254 you did for me, I am filled with incredible joy -- truly.  I always dreamed of having a piece by you and what you delivered was all that I ever could have hoped.  Jim Warden, Mr. Nice Guy, made this one of the most pleasant transactions around.

In the present case, well, its a horrible shame and tragedy.  I really liked Michael Golden's art and loved the Micronauts and that cover.   I paid upfront and just don't deserve to be treated this way.  I really don't.

Yes, the "t" is present in mine -- "virtue".

I have told Renee that I will take the high road for a very short time and wait to see what resolution is offered.  I just don't want to believe that Michael Golden is so vindictive.  I just don't want to.

I will know soon enough and I promise that I will post it if we cannot work this out.  I just want a fair resolution.  I just don't understand why someone would do something like this.

There were four of us and so far 3 of us have received patience is a virtue drawings.

As I said, I'd prefer not to post it and see if we cannot close this out quickly.  It would be nice -- imagine waiting months and months for a piece by a cherished artist and what you get is a character lecturing you.  Its not right.

On the comicart-l forum on Yahoo there seems to be a lot of people who share the views that many here have posted.  However, I'm sad to say that even after making his generous offer, JB's still taking potshots from some:

As for the John Byrne comments: I hear John "rubber stamped" his signature on
reprint books with his work in them for the fans... rather than signing them. I
guess it's sorta funny - in a John Byrne sorta way - but I'm sure it was a
disappointment for a fan that came to, and
paid to enter a con to get his fave artist's signature.

I don't really understand this poster's goal.  She apparently agrees with everyone in terms of Golden's unprofessionalism but still feels compelled to take a shot at JB.  Not even a personal account but something she "heard".

Gerry,

If this is untrue, you may have a separate legal cause of action.

Folks, her posting -- at least in regards to me -- is not true.  I had a firm deadline of two months or less.  I have it in writing.  I will post it all shortly if this cannot be resolved.  Several bloggers have asked for my drawing and emails and I've held off (and will for just a short bit) to see if Michael and Renee want to work this out.

I will continue to hope so.

What a pathetic explanation for her and Golden's bad behavior. And it took
her all this time just to come up with that lame post, too. Some agent.

I notice she signed up but didn't post here and chose the Comic Journal
website instead. I guess Renee felt more comfortable at the TCJ
messageboard after the last fiasco she tried to defend herself against over
there. That didn't go to well either.

Gerry, good work in bringing this to everyone's attention. Hopefully a few
less people will be taken in by those two scammers.

Renee is digging a bigger hole for herself over there.Every single thing she has said is untrue.Instead of saying "OK, we made a mistake lets put this right" which i would be more than happy  for, shes exacerbating the situation. And its not going to go away . . .

I hate to say this, after reading Renee's two posts so far at the TCJ, but I don't think this is going to be resolved the way anyone would like it to be, and that's a shame.

I notice she signed up but didn't post here

No, you noticed someone has created a login with her name.  We know nothing more than that, sadly.
