BTW, page 11 was done without pencils, straight to ink.

I'm getting a strong Gil Kane vibe from that page, especially panel 3.

I've long thought the colors seemed a bit "heavy" on this issue.
I really, really liked the ending. It tied in really well with the Avengers story, too. Did you and Roger work on this revelation together, JB?

The lettering actually reminds me of old, old-school lettering.

I mentioned it before, I will mention it again, I found it very strange (ironic?) that John handled everything but the coloring in this issue, when, in the letters' page of the previous issue it was announced that in order to improve quality, JB would stop inking the books dedicate his energies solely to writing and pencilling.

Since the announcement in the previous issue said nothing about my giving up the inking, only that I was going to be making changes to my work, starting with the pencils, I see nothing "ironic" at all.

Mr. Byrne, you are right. The epilog is confusing...so who's Rama-Tut's ancestors?

JB,
Any particular reason why you didn't do pencils on page 11?
Thanks.

I really liked this FF story, but... it felt a bit "unfinished", as if it set up something big that never came along.
JB, Did you plan to do more stories with this world and/or Reed Richard's father?

Gerry, there's a great panel or sequence of Reed thinking about his father/
son relationship...I was sure the thoughts were in that montage panel posted
above, but no. Is it just before Reed reaches the castle?

A powerful idea, in my view, that JB inserted here, was that human
achievement, unhindered by the church would've progressed much faster!

I agree. There's something about JB's art during this period - his line quality - that also reminds me of Gil Kane when he inked his own work.

Ok, if I could pick one issue of the FF run to a desert island, this would be
IT. Sucky lettering and all.
