I wish JB would have inked this entire run -- page 11 of this issue looks like a page from a coloring book imho.

I don't have these, I'm seeing them here for the first time, so it's interesting to see people's feelings about the inks from my point of view. First, I love this book and have to get the whole run asap. But chiming in about the inks, I am very pleased. For me, they're coming after Nelson and the other gentleman on Atom -- and I'm very pleased. I get the clear sense of a Joe Sinnott influence and I find it stronger with every issue so far. I love the way Wanda looks in this issue. I think Captain America comes off as particularly authentic here, and the inking contributes to that in my eyes. I'm not impressed with the coloring and think it detracts from what might otherwise be better regarded work.
Bottom line: this is another JB accomplishment I'm grateful to enjoy.

Yeah, I'll confess, I missed a couple of important runs and I'm learning to regret it. But there's that NBC summer re-runs tagline: If You Haven't Seen It, It's New To You.
I can see why you like it so much. Relatively few comic runs have gripped me the way these "peeks" into AWC has.

Well thats the great thing about discovering a JB run I have not read before, I am always so pleasently surprised. He has such unique takes on different characters and I enjoy watching subplots develop. I belive he has said before that he lets the characters determine where the stories go (at least i think he said something like that) and thats what makes his writing so enjoyable for me to read because thats exactly how it feels.

Is that enough rubble to knock out She-Hulk? It just occurred to me.

I think it's official: some strange reason prevents me from enjoying this
series...I look at the pages and there's just no connection.

Don't know who the Machlan guy is, but it reminded me of Sinnott's inks over JB in FF.

Wow, I love the mystified look in her face, its funny, that same panel made me stop, and think to myself, "Gosh thats a page I woudl LOVE to own." |

Ahhh, I miscommunicated. I was not referring to the initial full body shot of Wanj in the tank as you obviously were, THAT one does rock.
I was referring to the final panel on page 13. The close-up-head shot. doesn't look nearly as good and I really suspect the inker's hand in that.

++++++++++++++++++++
I'm pretty sure the reason for that is in the next issue.

Still one of the coolest properties of Cap's shield. And hardly anyone plays to that at all. I always go back to that bit when thinking about how cool the shield really is.
***
That is really cool. It's one of those things that doesn't work if you think about it too hard -- if the shield absorbs all energy, how does Cap bounce it off things? If he chucks it at a wall, shouldn't it just drop to the ground, having absorbed all the kinetic energy of the impact with the wall? But, as has been pointed out many times, if you're thinking about it that hard, you probably shouldn't be reading the comic in the first place.
