Okay -- that sounds familiar.

I seem to remember JB saying he caught wind of Chris Claremont's plans to involve Phoenix, but that may be wrong.

I loved the Simonson art, but I would have gone bananas over JB's version of that story.

I miss those old Big Treasury editions, I liked the few Alex Ross did a few years back. I was hoping it would start a tend and they would come back on a regular basis. I know all the arguments about shelf space etc, but who cares GIANT COMICS!

JB - considering your admiration for Garcia-Lopez's work, it must have been great to have him ink your work on the NTT Annual #2 - any thoughts on that collaboration?

I love the Batman vs. Hulk comic.  Have perfect recollection of the night I bought and read it.  Back then, comics would draw you in and "teach" about the characters...I remember finishing the story with a much clearer idea of who Batman and the Hulk and the Joker were (but I was plenty curious about the Shaper of Worlds...hoping to see him again in a comic soon, which I never did!).

That is a great job! One of the best Lopez jobs.

Your Golden Age is when you're 12.

I bought BATMAN VS. THE INCREDIBLE HULK when I was 12 years old... 'nuff said!
The "big match" in my mind for the best team up between characters from Marvel and DC was between SUPERMAN VS. THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN and this one. The Caped Crusader and the Green Goliath won... But that was a hard fight!

Morning JB. Did you take a stab at this cover? Comparatively speaking, at $11k I think the high bidder got a fairly good deal. Good interior pages to that book are going for $1500-2000.

Any other original art interests beyond the 4 remaining Superboy pages that we should keep an eye out for?

Thanks!

If you happen to see a LITTLE NEMO for less than
the cost of a new Jaguar…
