QUISP!  I loved that cereal to death!  I even had the Quisp helmet with the propeller on top!  Unfortunately, I couldn't fly.

As a young 'un, Cap'n Crunch, Cheerios, Frosted Flakes, and Sugar Pops (these days, chameleonically christened "Corn Pops", but who are they trying to kid?).  As a man of >a-hem!< more mature years, Grape Nuts, Corn Flakes, and Cheerios.

Roberto, you mentioned getting a headache after eating something with maple; my daughter and I both have a rare allergy to maple, and you may have it, too.  We have a particularly unpleasant reaction to it - violent, migraine-type headaches, and severe vomitting - sorry to bring that up (extremely bad pun).  You might want to have an allergist check you for it.

I think this link is appropriate in this thread. Stumbled upon this today, and far be it from me to keep anything remotely comics related from this forum.

Link location will change to this in February.

Thoughts?

This does bring back memories of many a morning from childhood into early adulthood (when my tastebuds should've known better).  My top five picks are:

  1. Fruity Pebbles
  2. Crunch Berries
  3. Rice Krispies
  4. Honey Combs
  5. Special K

Kellog's Special K cereal joined the list because it has been a modest compromise with my altered diet, provided that I don't go well over the recommended portions (roughly 1 cup of dry cereal to the bowl with only enough milk to wet it down).  In the past, I used to pile it on until it was nearly overflowing, but that was part of what made me balloon into a 360-stone gorilla with high blood pressure (with the help of copious amounts of candy bars and buffet-size lunches and dinners).  Now, I'll have the cereal on occasional days when I want to break the monotony of eggs and bacon veggie-strips.

Wow! I missed this one the first time around (on account of not being Byrned yet).

My favorite has always been and will always be (in no particular order) Captain Crunch and Captain Crunch w/Crunch Berries.

By the way, the correct proportion for Grape nuts: one part Grape nuts, two parts sugar, one part 2% milk. Try to focus your eyes after a bowl; its like licking your elbow, you can't do it! But boy is it good...zzzzz...

I noticed my mom still has a Boss Moss fridge magnet stuck to door of her freezer, when I visited last week...

Let's see...

My brother liked Quisp.
I liked Quake (before they took the burly miner mascot and slimmed him down, changed his wardrobe, and basically turned him...

Captain Crunch and Crunch Berries were the eventual replacements.

These days, it's just Quaker Oat Meal (1 Minute) with a banana.
