Freeze dried ice cream cereal. Good gravy, I wish I could have a bowl right now!

I would also like to add one more of my childhood favorites Cookie Crisp. Vanilla or Chocolate Chip.

Cold cereal is my favorite food. I'm a connoisseur.

My favorites are anything with flakes and nuts or raisins, such as Oatmeal Raisin Crisp. I'm currently eating Frosted Flakes, and I have a bag of generic Cinammon Toast Crunch and a box of generic Golden Grahams here.

I find generics often have a superior taste to the name brand. I refuse to pay $4.35 for a box of cereal, so the savings is also sweet and tasty.

I agree with that Steve, when I used to eat cereal I always thought the generic "Fruity Pebbles" tasted better than the actual Post Fruity Pebbles.

I haven't eaten cereal much since I was a teenager or in my early 20's, but my favorites were, in no particular order:

Peanut Butter Cap'n Crunch, Rice Krispies, Apple Jacks, Coca Pebbles, Count Chocula, Raisin Bran (Kellogg's or Post - didn't matter to me) and Sugar Smacks.

I'm not big into breakfast anymore. I occasionally fix myself a bowl of grits (with butter and salt) or some eggs over easy with some toast or biscuits, but usually the only time I go out of my way to eat breakfast is if someone makes a McDonalds run.

1. Quisp

2.  Captain Crunch Peanut Butter

3.  Original formula Frankenberry.  The "new" stuff is awful.

Peanut Butter Cap'n crunch is my favorite.

When I was just a wee lad my favorite was a cereal called Freakies. Anyone else remember it?

Totally missed Brian's post above. So obviously one of you has.

I took a marketing class in college years ago and we talked about generic cereals. The prof said the generic companies actualy purchase the same product Fruity Pebbles makes but just agree to sell it under a different name. Personally I don't know if that is the case for all the generics, but I still can't force myself to buy Fruity O's instead of Fruit Loops. That Kellog's has me brainwashed. Plus I buy my cereal at Marcs or Super Wall-Mart where it is much cheaper than the standard supermarkets.

Anybody remeber this? Purple milk was a big hit as a kid.

Also....for those 'anti-Quisp' folks..
