If I ever had the money, that last page would be the first piece of original art I would look for. I've loved that page since I first read it probably 20 years ago. I never really knew what Reed was really feeling until last year when my wife suffered 2 miscarriages. JB, you captured the emotion of that scene perfectly. I don't know if you give yourself a pat on the back often, but you deserve one for that page.

Probably the first comic book to ever make me feel truly sad.  I don't think I have ever cared about a group of characters as much as the FF and to witness something so real and tragic happen to them was very potent to a 10yr old reader. 

Perhaps when you break it all down what JB brings best to the party is his ability to make you care about his characters.   Emotional investment must be why I keep coming back to these stories despite hundreds of readings...that and the badass fight scenes!
