I don't know about the Quicksilver one. The attitude is right, but Pietro
standing still?!?

I think the Quicksilver figurine totally captures the character. His arrogance is every bit as important as his superpower and that certainly shows in the sculpt.

Oh, yeah, for sure the attitude is dead on! I love that -- I guess I was just
expecting an action pose.
(Though that might be hard to really capture in a medium like this. There
are no speed lines in sculpture, after all!)

That Scorpion looks great. If nothing else, I will definitely be doing a Spider-Man and his rogues gallery collection.

JB - traditional "colors not found in nature", like Iron Fist's black-that-reflects-green
************************************************************ ****************************
JB - this is the first time I've heard this (i.e. Iron Fist being black and yellow instead of green and yellow) - to me it sounds perfect. What was the official line back in the day - green or black?

Iron Fist's costume is dark, shiny green. The way to portray such colors in comics has been, traditionally, black with a reflected highlight. Thus, Iron Fist is often portrayed as wearing a costume that is black with green on the reflecting surfaces. This tradition leads to confusion, as it is also tradition to put blue highlights on black surfaces, thus leading to comments about Superman having blue hair, or, in extreme cases, Batman's cape and cowl, or the X-Men's school uniforms for instance, black actually changing to blue, and becoming canon as such. Same thing happened to the black parts of Spider-Man's costume, tho his hi-lites were more mauve than blue. It's because of these comicbook conventions that we often refer to "colors not found in nature". One of the fun things I discovered in my 3D modeler was that it was actually possible to create such colors. To make a surface shiny black, for instance, but tell the computer that it was to make the highlights green or red or blue. See below.

Well, I was expecting EM to release something for the Iron Man movie (Iron Monger), but not the old big "classic" armor ! Count me in for this one !
For something which will be released in 2 months, I didn't see it coming (whereas for the other classic figurines, we know the agenda almost one year in advance).
Hmmm, maybe we can expect the Abomination to be released for the Hulk movie ?

But, since the "old" armor is the movie armor, that would be the movie Abomination, yes? And people are already complaining about what he looks like.

That's not what I meant. EM has not released figurines based on movies version so far : DD, Spiderman, Elektra, Blade, all the Xmen and FF are all inspired by their comics versions, not by the movies (god bless EM !).
What I wanted to say is that I noticed EM managed pretty well to release figurines at the same time than movies or DVD release dates (in France anyway). So, I think it would be a good "marketing" approach to release the Abomination at the same time than the Hulk movie.
I haven't seen the Abomination's movie version so far, has anyone got a link ?

Well, after a short Google search, the only pictures I found was a toy. My God, if this is really what the Abomination will look like in the movie, I really hope EM will keep the comic design of the character !

••
The grey armored Iron Man is the movie version, as noted.
