Kraven, Mephisto and the Scarlet Wench arrived just a few minutes ago.
Kraven's spear was slightly bent, but easily fixed. Mephisto and Wanda may
need a tiny bit of touch-up around the eyes, with my slenderest black nib.

As usual, superb detailing in the sculpt and paint. And a beautiful pose for
Wanda!

Scarlet Wench?  Funny, I've typed that by mistake before myself.

'Cept in my case, t'was not a mistake! (It was instead of Scarlet Bitch,
actually. That would have required posting the "The Witch is Back" cover
from WCA, so everybody would get it!)

I was thinking about Havok just the other day. So far, none of these sculpts have parts
that loop out and back, attaching in more than one place. (Nightcrawler's tail come the
closest.) I wonder if Alec's unique headgear might present special manufacturing
problems?

That assumes they use the classic version of the costume and not his latest:

Havok's headgear is hard to draw. Make it even a little bit too big, or too
small, and it transforms instantly from elegant to goofy. Not to mention any
artist who has even the least bit of trouble constructing the human head
from different angles is going to find the headgear a problem.

Yet, for 30 years no one was arrogant enough to think s/he was the one to
change that classic look.

What does this tell us?

Meh, that can't be Havok - he's spitting out glowy bubbles...

That's a lot of dead people to have to walk over.

I never much liked the original Havok suit.  My personal favorite is the Larry Stroman/Joe Quesada uniform from the "All-New, All-Different X-Factor" era.

I am pretty sure you are in the minority here, Zaki. Not that that should change your mind or anything. I think Havok's costume was brilliant. Neal Adams managed to create two extremely good looking costumes in just a few months with Angel and Havok.
