…it was buried in the magazine section…

Right -- because that's what people would be collecting.

From the Q&A sessions I've read, it seems like the Eaglemoss guys pretty much keep their jobs by getting the magazines out, and the sculpting, casting and painting are outsourced.  I'd pay the same amount for just the figure.

Franco,

ARGH! To think, I could've been ordering them all this time. Ah, well, now
I'm up on it, and from DCBS, they're a mere 9 bucks each.

Blessings on the bearer of good news!  Looking forward to Absorbing Man.  I've seen the WIP photo of Quicksilver.  Not bad, but not in a running pose.

Sorry. Carnage? Mr. Sinister? Not really classic or good characters.

Depends on how many are Classics, and how many are 'classics'...

"Classics" are in the eye of the beholder.  Someone upthread complained about Nova being called "classic".  Me, that's just what I consider him to be.  He's been around for 30 years, had multiple series devoted to him, and headlined a popular superhero team for a long time.  I'm looking forward to adding that character to my collection.

Now if we're talking about characters I won't add because I don't particularly like them, then that's another thing entirely.  The list for me is short; Punisher, Blade, Gambit, Cable, Carnage, Mr. Sinister, and Apocalypse to name a handful.

I've done pretty well, so far. I skipped Wolverine and Storm because of the
costumes, and Beast and Captain Marvel because of the versions, but it's a
short list of characters I skipped just cuz I don't like 'em. Blade, Punisher,
Rogue, Venmo, Gambit, Nova, Deadpool, Cable - and I know Psylocke and
Carnage won't make the cut.

Yeah, that's more of what I meant, Matt! Everybody's 'classics' are going to
be different.

(Looking at Captain Marvel again, I'm thinking he might not be all that tough to customize into the "PROPER" version. Hmm…)
