The day is fast approaching when I won't be buying these any more. They will simply have exhausted all the characters I care about.

Saw Northstar and Aurora up close. Not impressed…

••

I decided to go ahead and get these, since the flaws really come down to a bit of customizing, and I have not been shy about doing that with previous figures.

Haven't seen the twins up close... what's the problem?

I've been thinking about collecting the AF figures...

No, Nathan, you're doomed because once you start collecting "just such-and-such" figures, you won't stop there.

You will not be able to resist getting more.

I can resist characters I don't like here and there, and there are ones I know I'll never buy, but even those seem to have some kind of siren call that is only abated by the knowledge that characters and sculpts I DO like are in the pipeline.

I think once the DC line ends I'm going to cry, then I'm going to start ordering other sets like the World War 2 and American Civil War figures. I've been jonesing for the Mon-El sitting at my LCS since I didn't get him last week due to a short shipment, and the other guy who ordered one got there first.

Don't get started thinking you'll be able to resist. Go in with open eyes and the knowledge that it will never end. Are you prepared to make that sacrifice?

I had to force myself not to buy any of the DC figurines.  Mostly due to space considerations but also knowing that once I started, I wouldn't be able to stop.  I don't think that'll be a problem here soon, however, as each new solicit for the Marvel figurines offers me less and less.  I've been a fan for nearly 40 years, but once they start issuing characters I've never heard of and/or don't recognize, then I can see the light at the end of the very long tunnel.

I was originally only going to get Thor, Hercules and Beta Ray Bill and
now have 16 additional figures sitting on my desk. It really is an
addiction.

Of the last 10 I ordered (only got 9, Beta Ray Bill was backordered on me), those came from the 25 or 30 most recent releases.  I'm definitely slowing down.

Nathan: Haven't seen the twins up close... what's the problem?

***
Well, in my case, the paint job on both is rather sloppy (not really a surprise), and the gloves and boots appear to be separate pieces that were glued on (Northstar's popped-off forearm has a molded pin on the end of it).  Not sure how these two would take to customizing, if they'll go all to pieces in the process.

The DC figurines I've picked up appear to be far better detailed (and assembled) than Marvel ones I've looked at, so these two might be my only ones.
