I asked Walt Simonson about the scaling on Odin, and he agreed the figure is WAY too large. Pity.

Are these figures supposed to be on scale? One of the things that has prevented me from collecting them is that the heights of these figures appear to be so off -- poor Aquaman appears to be a shrimp.

Aquaman... shrimp... good one, Thom!Scale is often a hot topic of debate. But if you got that pic from the DC figurine website, I wouldn't stake my life on it being a true representation of what the figures look like in hand. I only have Hawkman of those figures and he is very large compared to other regulars (eg The Flash).

Those images do not represent the actual size of the figures. Thom. They are scaled to all be the same height across the page -- a rather odd choice, but there you are.Thus, anyone who has something higher than his head -- Aquaman's trident, or Hawkman's mace -- is going to appear small in that shot. Actually, Aquaman is slightly taller than Superman.

Thom - while there are some scale issues, for the most part it's not that noticeable. That picture, as JB says, was deliberately made that way. Notice the bases for Aquaman and Hawkman being so much smaller than the one for Captain Cold or Blue Beetle. I can tell you right now, Hawkman is a bit BIGGER than Blue Beetle!

Thom, if you want side-by-side pics of any figures, let us know. Someone here can give you a decent comparison shot. I don't have Wonder Woman, though.

Martyn, I really like your chrome Colossus, how did you do that? I think your chrome really makes him jump out.
Your Vision is great too. Now I'm thinking I should go pick up multipul copies too.
Also, are the Eaglemoss figures more available in the U.K.? Seems like the best choices for me are eBay U.K. sellers.

Hi BradFor Colossus I used Plasti-kote fast dry enamel, chrome effect, in a spray can. I just masked off the base, and sprayed. Then I had to repaint the base black, as the masking wasn't perfect. Hard to see perhaps, but Vision has red eyes and a red gem on his forehead, just to break up the whiteness.
I work near Forbidden Planet and Comicana in London, so every two weeks I trek down after work. They have a lot of back issues, both DC and Marvel. I didn't subscribe because I want to pick the best looking fig available on the shelf. You don't see the collection at all in the town where I live. You'd have to rely on a subscription with a local newsagent. Then there's the CMFC store on their website for back issues. It took 3 months to get Viper off them simply because there had been no stock for a while.
