The only figurine I put with the iconic four is She-Hulk.  Incredible fondness for the character coupled with her feeling "right" when JB put her in the book.  Black Bolt and Medusa are elevated in the back behind the four, so they aren't part of the team but in the same "space" as both the FF and Avengers, which sit to the left of the four.

Some of you may recall that Mike Carlin and I saved Namor from being killed by turning one of Shooter's own rules back on him. When Mike and I were in charge of the Fantastic Four, an editor got it into his mind that he was going to "fix" the Sub-Mariner -- by killing Namor and creating a new character who would be aquatic "done right". Namor at that time had no book of his own, and Shooter was all gung ho to go ahead with this until we reminded him that he had messed with some folks plans in the past by saying characters without titles of their own "reverted" to the books in which they had first appeared. Which meant Namor "belonged" to FANTASTIC FOUR, and nothing could be done with or to him unless the FF office approved.

I apply a variant of the same rule with these figures, so characters who started in FANTASTIC FOUR I group with the FF, characters who started in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN I group with Spider-Man, and so on. If they started with their own books, but have a group association, I go with the group, thus the Avengers, with various villains attendant.

But it's already becoming untenable, so I may have to go back to arraying them in release order, with "subgroupings" for the likes of the FF and the X-Men.

Baron Zemo and the Hobgoblin arrived today...looks like they tweaked the Goblin's hood as it looks much bigger.  The Baron is suitably imposing.

Blog update!   I like it.  Maybe not enough to buy it (I don't think I ever read a single comic with them in it), but I like it.  I also like having two figures on one base, it's a good experiment for EM.

Ant-Man!  Scott Lang will be the focus of the magazine, but I really don't care about that.  I'm just happy to have the original costume!

Don't care for the "brow ridge" on Ant Man. I wonder how tough that would
be to fix?

I have a collection of mini files and fine grit sandpapers for just such things.  The tough part would be not breaking the antennae.

Problem is, the helmet would need to be built up, not filed down!

Nooooo… They messed up with the most important design element : Antman's helmet!

Stupid, stupid!

That Cloak and Dagger figurine is really sharp!  A "must buy" when I see it.  Love the characters, so it's a no-brainer for me.  Ant-Man, however, is a maybe.  I'll have to see what he looks like when finished.

It occurs to me that the flaw in Ant Man is the same one we so often see in
Hawkman -- trying to portray the helmet as a mask.

Ant-Man looks a little too "buff" to me. Anyone else agree?
