Marc, thanks for the suggestions via those Abomination-britches. I
would've made them bigger were I not afraid I'd screw it up (the sharpie is
not good for those hard to reach areas). Might end up pulling out the paint
for him when I go to finish him.

Leigh, thanks for posting the pic. He is one ugly dude (which is what I was
hoping for)!

G.

No problem Gary and in case you are wondering both bits of the chain are 'dangly'. :)

I think Creel's right hand is touching the ball, so he starts absorbing the ball surface qualities. His left hand is touching the chain, that is a different material. Whether he should be all chain-steely, that is another thing...

edited to add:
After a quick Google search, I saw another statue almost identical to this one, only the upper body tilted to the side. The effect on the body, the same.
I think his chain and ball are excluded from the logic and he can remain human while touching either, unless he wills it so. Is this true?

I don't think Creel wills anything.  He's been duped into turning into glass, for example, simply by having him touch it.  If he had to will his change, he'd be a different character altogether.

Matt, the way I interpret the use of his powers in JiM #114-115, where he appears human looking most of the time he handles the chain and ball and once he becomes steel by touching the chain, means he has some control over what he does, especially where the also enchanted ball and chain are concerned.

My first figures in a couple months, newly arrived from Midtown (which took a week to even ship them, grumble).

Deathlok. Pretty damn nice. Great sculpt, great paint job.  I'm not a big fan of the character, but this is one of the better figures in the line.

Crystal. Yuck. This one is worse than I thought it'd be.  Tiny, miniscule.  Even next to some of the other smaller figures in the line, she's overshadowed.  Gonna be tough to modify it to a proper Crystal. The worst figure EM has put out, without a doubt.

Moon Knight. Big figure, nice sculpt. Again, not a big fan of the character but I like the figure a lot.  His cape probably uses more lead than Crystal's whole body.

Wonder Man. Not bad at all. Smaller than some of the more recent Avengers like Hawkeye and Yellowjacket, but he fits right in next to Cap. I probably would have gone with a safari jacket, but I still like him. Needs some paint work.

Power Man. Pretty good, but doomed to be hacked up for a custom job. I may have to get another to keep.

Mole Man.  Nice and solid, bigger than I expected (or hoped), no chance of a Puck conversion here. Glad to have another FF enemy.

I just walked past the shelf with my Dictionary on it, and I could swear I
heard the word "classic" weeping. . .

She'd make for a relatively simple conversion, if you're easy with the details.

Nah.  Considering I've got over 60 of these guys with more sure to come and have quibbled about the designs only a handful of times, I think I'm entitled to not like a figurine or two.

As far as the Blink figurine, really nice sculpt.  Sad that it looks more on-point than a true classic character like Crystal.  Oh and "classic" in the context of Blink has jumped the shark!
