Saw Rhino, Herc, and The Leader at my LCS yesterday.  Passed on Rhino.  Didn't like the advertised pic I saw here and up close he was worse.  Wish he had smooth skin and not the bumpy mass of flesh they gave him.  I did, however, pick up Herc and The Leader.  Love Herc.  Classic pose and just a fun figurine.  I was on the fence with Leader, but picked him up because his face (excluding his bumpy head) is really cool, one of the better faces of these figurines.  The bright yellow costume does work at odds with the mainly muted colors of the line, but I think if I move him to the back, he'll be fine.  Not a favorite of mine by far, but not nearly as bad as, say, Rhino so I'm cool.

Seems like the Rhino is just begging for somebody to go nuts with Super Sculpy to create a proper smooth version.

EDITED TO ADD:  Perhaps something like this?

ARGH ! is this the version of Sasquatch EM will release ?

I think I will try to get a Chewbacca figurine and customize it, I think the result will be better...

I don't recall Sasquatch having big teeth on his lower jaw ...

Over the past few decades I have noticed a distinct and very unfortunate
tendency to make things oridinary, at least by comicbook standards.

I first became aware of it when Jason Blood, in THE DEMON, was changed
from a construct created by Merlin to house the spirit of the demon
Etrigan into a mere mortal who was possessed be the demon
(contradicting Jack Kirby's origin for the character). "Come on!" I said at
the time, "Kirby created something very close to original. This. . .
You can't throw a stick in the DCU without hitting somebody who's
possessed by a demon!"

It happened again and again, more and more once I was aware of it.
Especially with characters I had created. Especially with Alpha Flight. I
wanted the team to be different from other superhero teams, so
later writers made them the Canadian Avengers. I wanted Heather to lead
the group without having powers herself (much as Will Magnus has led
the Metal Men), so she was almost immediately put into the suit. I
wanted Puck to be a brave man dealing with a natural condition -- oops!
Another one possessed by a demon! Wildchild lost his peculiar and
unique face. Bochs got "fixed". And now, it seems, Sasquatch has lost
one of the things that made him different from all the other shaggy
monsters -- his unique face.

Keep in mind that the figure is fan-made, and obviously not based on JB's version of the character, but how the character is now portrayed.  Eaglemoss might pick it up, this is the same guy that did the new Man-Thing sculpt as I mentioned above, and they may not.  I haven't seen it confirmed.

I'd obviously like JB's Sasquatch to be used as reference, but Eaglemoss, and then Marvel, has the final word on it.  Like the Beast figurine, it'd be a shame if Marvel stepped in and chose this likeness.  If this were to be the product they sell, I sure wouldn't buy it.

My work for the last couple nights.  These pictures need to be small, I'm afraid.  Heather looks OK to the naked eye, but the higher resolution shots make her look rather freakish, like the Elephant Woman or something.  Anyway, Mrs. James MacDonald Hudson, with credit to JB for paving the way with his own reworking (which I've unashamedly stolen).  Now to figure out @&%$ing glasses.

Oh, and I green-stuffed her chest so her individual breasts weren't so pronounced, and added a layer around her mid-section, so she looked to be wearing a looser t-shirt and not something skintight.  A little help from my printer and she's as accurate as I'm going to get.  Maybe version 2.0 will have a ponytail.

Nicely done, Ryan! If you do figure out how to do the glasses -- let me
know!

I picked up some figurines last week (the Vulture, Green Arrow and AT LAST Angel) and the store in which I got them has them in french and in US versions.

My point is that last week was the first time I noticed there was a mention about the diseases and illness due to lead, and this is only mentioned on the US version (it mentions to wash ones hands after touching the figurines, ...)

I don't know why this is not mentioned on the french version of the Marvel/DC magazine collection, and why this is only mentioned for the californian state.

Is there a special law in this state concerning lead ?
