OK, so why didn't they paint the lightningdetails light blue and went with white?
(David, the point is that Ms Marvel's black parts were drawn in the exact same way as BlackBolt).

They were probably using this one as a guide:

JB,

Are you going to repaint that blue-costumed Black Bolt?

Well I'm officially in (dammit).  I've got Spider-Man, Wolverine, Doctor Octopus & The Thing on order from Forbidden Planet* and Mysterio, Yellowjacket, Power Man & Super Skrull on the way from Byrne's pusher at Midtown Comics.  Decided to burn the candle at both ends...I'll start getting the older figs from Forbidden Planet since they appear to have all of 'em and the newer ones from Midtown.  Their selection online is a tad limited, it seems.

*Quick question for the board re: Forbidden Planet.  I placed my order on the 18th and there's been no change in the order status since.  I just shot an email over yesterday and I'm waiting for them to respond...but has anyone else ever dealt with them before and had similar delays???

••

Of course!

You know, with all the "debate" over whose costume is blue and whose is
black, that there should be any question about BLACK Bolt utterly
mystifies me. If the energy beams he occasionally throws out of his
antennae were black, I could understand the confusion -- black bolts! --
but the costume?

If Black Bolt is blue, why did they make this guy. . .

. . black?

JB...is the SHARPIE your implement of choice for turning all of your blue characters black?

Quicksilver and Carnage arrived today...the paintjob on Pietro is horrible - I will post photos tomorrow.  The musculature is highlighted in dark blue and looks like the outline of the lightning on his costume is done in biro!  Not happy!

Carnage, however, is much better than I thought!  Quite big too, big enough I would have thought for a special.

Movie-Iron Man will be here week after next.
