The Defalco-Ryan Sue Storm costume is simply an extrapolation of the JB-designed Malice costume, brought on by a re-emergence of the Malice persona. So you'd probably have to blame JB for that one.

Malice was a construct created by the Hate Monger. It/she was in no way a part of Sue. Having that "persona" "re-emerge" is simply bad writing, akin to having Mary Jane spontaneously turn into Red Sonja one day, merely because her form was once possessed by her.

I always thought it was a little weird for someone to get married to a robot, no offense ROG 2000.

Rogie takes no offense. He remember when it was "code" around the Marvel offices to say a story was not going to have anything really stupid in it by saying "…and no one is going to marry a toaster!"

My intro to Natasha is an early Colan issue of Daredevil with the Widow in the shiny black outfit. Can't recall the number, but Matt was hallucinating and tried to strangle Natasha with his billy club's cable until she zapped him as I remember it. Great stuff, especially with Gene's emotive faces.

The earilest I remember with the Scarlet Witch was the Avengers during the Chthon Saga where she got possessed and her mind transferred into a little wooden doll. Most vividly I remember the JB cover looking down on her in a crucifx position suspended by magic energy blobs as she looks up towards the reader with a pained/worried expression and with Modred (I think anyway) behind her. Powerful evocative imagery and one of my favourite JB covers ever. Of course Wanda has the red swimsuit/pink tights classic combo.

Zatanna I never really read much of, so I remember her visually influenced mostly by the DCU toons, namely in fishnets and top hat. Classy all the way, especially in the episode where Diana get changed into a pig and Bats and Zatanna go chasing after her. Zatanna ends up having to rest her feet (running around in high heels evidentally isn't fun) when Bwanna Beast shows up and great comedy ensues.

Unfortunately, it seems as though many artists can only draw pin-up girls.
