Plastic Man's series was cancelled due to low sales. He's now regulated to occasional guest appearence in other titles.

The Elongated Man was also a superheroic twist on the popular "Thin Man" movies and stories, with the husband and wife team solving mysteries, affectionately battling one another as much as they battled the criminals.

********

I never thought of it that way before.  The Elongated Man is a kind of "Thin Man", isn't he*?  Although, to the best of my knowledge, Ralph and Sue never called a bunch of people to a dinner table, to ferret out a bad guy.  I could be wrong I suppose.

I'm a huge fan of those old Thin Man movies.

*Yes, I know the "Thin Man" doesn't actually refer to Nick Charles.

OH wow. Just a head and a hand, but the rest of the picture is awesome as well!

Well done and a fantastic comission idea.

One of all-time favorite characters (if solely because of Jack Cole's art) and one of the few titles I actively collect in the DC Archives series.

I was just looking this over again. Again I'm enchanted. Great piece.

Brad,

This is one of my favorites and it hangs in my son's room.  It turned out so different than I expected, and captures the charcater so well. There's been some controversy about this piece recently because another artist copied the piece literallly line for line and was called out for for doing so at megacon.
