Since I have my collection of WCA here in Van (which I just happen to
be reading presently), and my Alpha Flight collection is back in
Toronto, I'd cast a vote for the latter for the reading club.
That said, I am sure the comments here for the WCA run will be
great fun.
Perhaps AF will get its chance at a later date.

Couldn't agree more. I really like those aliens. JB really makes them look threatening. Some great issues ahead.

Not that I complain about going for WCA, Trevor, but didn't you or Gerry offer soemwhere to put up an Alpha Flight Reading Club after Namor or FF had finished? Given that the first Classic AF TPB should be out in April, I think it'd be a nice touch to somehow time that event to correspond with a reading club, giving more people a chance to follow (not to mention promoting some TPB sales for JB).
Anyway I leave that in the hands of you capable people who have the know-how and skill to do this in a nice fashion. :)

I did not like the clone angle at all.

Fair enough! How would you suggest a "mule" have
kids?

Would anyone be up for a 'GENERATIONS' Reading
Club after Namor ends?

That would be fun --- with the chapters in
chronological order?

Hard to believe that for all his virility, Namor is shooting blanks.
I'm not telling him.

Well Larry, the choice is yours. If you want to take the reins from me and do Generations feel free. Otherwise I can see if I can pick up what I need in the next month and run with Generations myself. Or I'll go with AWC. Either or.

Makes for an interesting story that's not been explored that I'm aware of.
Namor is a monarch and history shows us that a big part of the success
and at least the appearance of stability in the future is a clear successor
to the throne. So, it would seem that there would be a bit of wrangling
and political backstabbing over having someone as king that cannot have
children. Between that and the high mortality rate of his wives, would
think there would be some good political storytelling fodder.

I'm mostly a lurker around here, but given a choice I would like to
vote for Avengers West Coast to be the next JBF Reading Club
book. That run is a favorite of mine and I would love to hear
JB's insights on working on the book. Heck, I might even muster
up the nerve to ask him a question or two!
Plus, Avengers West Coast features Hawkeye! How can you go wrong
discussing a book featuring my favorite comic book character of all
time?

Would love to do the GENERATIONS reading club...(*in chronological order), but let's do AWC first. My mom's having surgery and I need to be the good son and help out for a while. I figure by time AWC is over I should be in shape to take over the riegns. Let me know what you think Trevor.
*Chronological order would be tricky, especially with G3's continuity. But it sounds like fun!
Plus we have to put in Batman/Cap and the issue of DP in order to include the entire Imaginverse storyline.

I agree and for the same reasons. Hawkeye is the best.

Sounds like fun. AWC is next and then you can have at 'er with Generations.
