Additionally, this isn't being reported on European news sites, so far as
I've seen today, and we don't pick up our comics until tomorrow, so even
if it's being discussed in the American media, many of us European
readers wouldn't know anything about it other than if it's spoiled here or
on some other comics site we frequent.

Although I get the humor of the post, Jason, I'm not a big fan of spoilers in any way.  Sorry, but I had to delete it~Matt

An analogy to AF #12 would apply only if Marvel were spoiling the ending on the news at the time.

I suppose you're right, Joe.  After all, the death of Captain America in #25 could be a dream sequence for all we know.

 QUOTE:
Mark- That's pretty funny.

I agree, except in that instance it'd be "MeinSpace."

The notion of "spoilers" on a thread BASED ON A
STORY ALREADY POSTED ON A NATIONAL NEWS
SITE seems utterly absurd and not a little anal. Shall
we in future have no threads devoted to news items
of any kind unless they are festooned with spoiler
warnings? The moment a story makes the news,
"spoilers" are irrevelent.

Come back from the dark side, Serge. You're
beginning to bore me.

Eric, Paolo- Thanks-  What a great "What The..?"/Not Brand Ecch story someone could do from Civil War, huh?  The seriousness, the meaning, the deep, important issues-- I wish Kurtzman and Elder could be here to let 'em have it.
