Wayne I commend you for taking the risk of self-publishing - I wish more creators would take that plunge!
(btw I hope this doesn't come out wrong, but how is this classified as a commission? Was that like a sly joke I didn't catch? This is work-for-hire, isn't it?)

Wayne: If/when it comes out how about selling copies through Jim Ward similar to JB's sketchbook?

or sink another couple bucks into advertising and distribute through Diamond -- Getting a high-profile JOHN BYRNE was one reason - to make the book marketable - right?
Now - a special edition, signed/numbered, etc., through Ward would be a good idea - but get the word out to about 10,000 "Byrne Victims" through a Previews ad - charge $7 for the book - pow - you've broken even ;-) (wink)

Good luck with the project, fellas.
Will the final product be in colour or straight up black and white,
Wayne?

Congratulations, Wayne. And good fortune to you both. I'm really anxious to see some excerpts! If you get it published it'll definitely be on my pull list.

Thanks for the all the kind words and well-wishes, guys. But, geez, way to
put the pressure on. I know the pencils will be great, I just hope the writing
lives up to them..........and to all your expectations.
best,
WO

Sounds cool Wayne. If you need a name for any "extra" characters, feel free to borrow mine.
Looking forward to the finished product.
