Given my work load and other things, I *might* be able to do a couple of
pages; but they wouldn't be my best.

So, you won't be seeing my work this time.

There are enough new people here that maybe you don't remember the
1st "Annual" JBF Art Challenge? But, it IS still a sticky . . .

Here is the thread devoted to it:
JBF Art Challenge

Check it for further clarification on the rules.

Just looked through that last JBF Art Challenge and I must say that I am impressed by the quality of work some of the members in here produce.

For my own part I will not be participating, mostly because I can't draw in any good capacity (not even if my life depended on it) and I don't have any given collobarative partner/s to help out on the art side of things. And besides, right now I don't honestly have the time write or plot any pages anyway.

However, I would like to take the opportunity to say that if anybody of the art crowd in here is interested in collaborating with this little writing boy at some point in the future... don't hesitate to give me a holler.

O and good luck to all of the participants! I am so looking forward to seeing all the contributions.

Anyone who can script out four pages, I'd be willing to do the pencils/inks.  Email is jwatkins@emich.edu.

I'm kinda interested at the prospect of plotting/scripting four pages, since my art talents are somewhat lacking. I'll have to cogitate on the matter, but I might as well ask now...any takers?

I would be interested in pairing with a writer to collaborate.. this is why I wanted to switch to the four pages after the commission because I have a little bit of inspiration that way but don't really have a clue of what to do before the commission..

Now, the problem is that I am not a very good artist and even on top of that I am out of practice because I have been doing other projects for so long. Nor have I done this type of project before. I don't know if I can get through it. So, someone will have to be pretty desperate for an art partner I'm thinking... but, if you are, here are some sample sketches...

I am sorry for this post. I remove all comments until I have the chance to learn the rules. I am sorry.

BTW, who's the bad guy?

***

Doesn't matter. You are banned from participating.

The "rules" clearly state there is to be no
"consultation" between members who are not
working together on the same pages.
Your cutesy-poo "negative universe" post has
effectively robbed all other participants of what might
have been a very clever approach.

And, for everybody else, yes, that unfortunately
means you cannot use the "negative universe" idea.
Thank Mr. Wilson for that one!

I've begun working on a plot (and some rough script/dialogue ideas), but may develop several alternative versions to choose from. Jonathan Watkins and I have discussed the possibility of our working together on this (without trading any ideas on the actual assignment), but we would need a letterer (and colorist, if possible). Any takers?

[sarcasm] Dammitt, Wilson!  You're always making us lose all our privileges!  I wish your parents had never enrolled you in this school! [/sarcasm]
