I'm probably one of the very few people on this board that has read less than a handful of Batman issues, and none by either artist, but I really like what I've seen of Adams' art.

While the Neal Adams stuff is amazing. I pick Jim Aparo. He is the artist I most associate with Batman.

So close. While I probably like Neal Adams' art better overall, when I think of Batman, there is a very high probability that an image from Jim Aparo will spring to mind. So Jim wins this one!

Incidentally, if I think of Batman and its not Aparo that pops into my head, its usually an image Spranging to mind!

This will sound bad but I have never seen Aparo's work. Anybody got a sample so I can make my choice?

Here's a page and a cover I just found quickly online, David.

Thanks Aaron. I must have a look for more myself.

I am not too familiar with either man's work but I am going to say Neal Adams.

Edit: Just realised Aparo did Batman: A Death in the Family so I do have some of his work. Its good too but Neal Adams still wins.
