I think Reed could take Luthor plus he has his family to back him up. If Luthor had back-up, it might be different.

Superman would put up a good fight against Doom, ultimately winning because he is the good guy, but Luthor would have no chance against the FF. Reed would trump his genius while Ben knocks him out with a flick of his pinky.

Catching up....

- More evil? I'll go with Luthor.

- Smarter? Doom, no doubt about it.

- Hmmm...both would be interesting stories. I'm sure Luthor would use his economic and political influence to make things hard on the FF before trying to destroy them outright. And Doom undoubtedly could whip up some gizmos that could give Superman a difficult time.

I'll go with Luthor vs. the Fantastic Four. But I'd like to see both of these stories.
