I've got to go with JB here. He draws the best Thing, in my book. Although you certainly can't go wrong with King Kirby!
I'll throw a third name into this argument just for consideration: How about Ron Wilson? I'd say he ranks with the best Thing artists ever.

Byrne - Kirby developed the Thing through many forms and changes, but Byrne gave a definitive Thing which has locked in shapes and forms everyone after has followed (to varying degrees of success)
