certainly at the time, far and away, Phoenix's - tho' that certainly got diluted over time - still, I don't find Terra's death SAD as much as Tragically inevitable.

Phoenix's was sadder for me.  I was a major X-Men nut and to watch them go through it was something else.  Excellent storytelling there.

Thursday, 10/30 toss-up: sadder death - your pick from yesterday (Terra vs. Phoenix) or Supergirl (in Crisis on Infinite Earths)?
