Definitely as a Daredevil villain. Spider-Man doesn't miss him - he's got a zillion other great villains. But Daredevil needed a true arch-foe, something he lacked before the Kingpin came along.

Plus, Daredevil and the Kingpin match up a lot better in physical confrontation. Against the Kingpin, you can totally buy Daredevil as an underdog. But as bad as the Kingpin is, he's still just a normal human being and it stretched the bounds of credibility to have him go toe-to-toe with Spider-Man.

Spider-Man should be able to mop the floor with the Kingpin but Daredevil is challenged by him so Daredevil it is.

If I had to choose Kingpin for only one of them, it would be Daredevil, but I do really enjoy Kingpin as a Spider-Man villain (and he was with Spider-Man first!).
