I like the retired Pym.  Before this time he was the crazy guy who almost killed his wife and team members.

Yellowjacket

because that was the character I saw when I dipped into Marvel again in the 70s, and was buying all of the Perez and Byrne issues. I didn't know he was crazy and such until much later. (Did he go bonkers before roughly #170 or after #200?)

He had a nervous breakdown years earlier, sometime before he and Jan married.  I thought he was pretty stable for a while, though I could be wrong.  I know when he and Wasp returned to the team in 211, he was already borderline ready to lose it, and in 212 he snapped.

i actually prefer his Yellow/Blue Goliath phase the best, but the Busiek era Giant-Man is probably next best - Yellowjacket has the best costume, but there is just way to much taint on that aspect.

Ant-Man.

He had a great costume (nothing else quite like that helmet) and he was different.  There are plenty of big tough guys (and Giant-Man was never really that big and tough if you read the 60s comics....) but a tiny hero who communicates with insects is different enough to be pretty interesting.

I first met him as Yellowjacket.  In my heart I know Yellowjacket is the wrong answer, but that's the Henry Pym I know.

Wednesday 10/22 toss-up: Kingpin - Spider-Man villain or Daredevil villain?
