No problem, Aaron.

I prefer Cap alive, and I am very much against killing him.  One, he will probably be back.  Two, if Q and the Gang are going to pull this shit and promote it as Cap is dead, then they should have the balls to keep him dead for as long as they are in the drivers seat.  Otherwise, they should be ashamed of themselves (duh) for selling this as something it isn't.

Maybe, they did kill him.  Maybe he will be/stay dead for as long as they are in charge.  Maybe someone else will come along and fix everything they have destroyed, including Spider-Man and the Avengers.

Anyway...

TODAY'S TOSS-UP (3/10):

Captain America by Waid & Garney or Brubaker & Epting?

Good point, Kevin.

I'll see how this goes today before posting tomorrow's scheduled question.

Captain America seems to have lots of readers on the board; I'm just not one of them and I woke up first :)

After re-reading I think I should have just kept my yapper shut.  Otherwise I should post in every thread I have nothing to contribute to.  Just to be consistent.

Catch ya tomorrow!

edit: spelling

Hmmm...I liked Waid & Garney's run until Marvel screwed it up with Heroes Reborn.  When the title picked up again with Waid & Garney it was not the same.
But I have been really enjoying the Brubaker Epting run (in trade format).  It is fresher in my mind so I might lean to Bru-Epting.  Epting's work is stunning.

Waid/Garney.

I like Brubaker's work in general, especially on Daredevil, but his work on Cap has been stained by the Bucky business, then this latest occurence.

I agree with Greg that the Waid/Garney run before Heroes Reborn was great, but lost steam when they tried again a year later.

I've read the Brubaker/Epting run up to the end of the Red Menace story. The art is Epting's best ever and the stories are well told. However, I've been put off by this run because I was really hoping the Winter Soldier/Bucky thing was just going to be a red herring. I'll probably read the death story in trade but pulling out bag of tricks like Bucky's alive but Cap is dead hurts the otherwise good storytelling in this title.

I'll go with Waid/Garney because I've seen the whole package and fully understand what they did with Cap. I'll wait and see if the Brubaker/Epting run will turn around into a winner or be remembered for cheap stunts.
