Ted...you've sunk to a new low!

ALIVE! As he will be again. This is one occasion where I'm glad nobody ever stays dead in comics.

A new low, Aaron?  When and where was my last low?

Seriously, I am all for alive, but I'll save my grumblings for the end.

Once again, since we are on a new page,

TODAY'S TOSS-UP (3/9):

Captain America: Dead or alive?

And tell us how you really feel.

Alive, though I must admit it does seem that killing him wasn't done only to get publicity.  It does seem a logical extension of the story (from what I've heard of it).  Cap did have many enemies.

Just want to add that publicity was obviously a huge part of it.  Seemed a very crass move on Marvel's part.

He'll be back.

Alive, and the sooner the better.  To die in disgrace like he did is sickening.

Alive.  Probably my 2nd favorite character after Guardian.  The guy has been to war and fought head to head with just about every super villain around and this is how they kill him?  They could have at least had an ounce of dignity involved in there somewhere.

Alive. I can't get all riled up about the current storyline because he'll be
back, just like Superman.

If Marvel does not have a plan to return him they are tools.

Hey Ted, just making sure you realize I was kidding with the "new low" comment.

I've been enjoying this thread every day, especially the toss-ups that are so close that they really are difficult to make a decision on.

Alive, and based on the interview I read with Brubaker, this has been intended all along. Civil War just moved it up the schedule sooner than planned. According to him the story was written last summer.

He'll be back.
I'm still sure this all has something to do with that damn cosmic cube from early in Brubakers run.
