Catching up a bit....the last three toss-ups are extremely tough choices for me: Kane or Infantino, Buscema or Romita, Kirby or Ditko? Can't go wrong with any of those artists.

Kane vs. Infantino - I'll cast the first vote for Infantino. He's always been a personal favorite - I even like his late 70's work at Marvel, which is generally panned by fans.

Buscema vs. Romita - I'll go with Romita here. I'm a big Spider-Man fan and Romita really is the defining Spider-Man artist. But Buscema also took a turn on Spider-Man and his work was quite good.

Here's a future toss-up question idea, Ted - Romita Sr. vs. Romita Jr.

Kirby vs. Ditko - again, I'll go against the grain and pick Ditko. Both guys have a distinct style, but there's just something so quirky and unique about Ditko's art. Still, I hate to go against the guy who created Captain America...

TODAY'S TOSS-UP (3/6):

JR Sr. But Junior is steadily gaining on him.

Jr was there as I was growing up.  I didn't know much about Romita Sr's work until later.  Both great but JR JR is my era.

Hey, good question!

I'll give the edge to JR Sr. - but  it's darn close. JR Jr. is a fantastic artist in his own right.

It's hard to believe that Jr. has been at Marvel for 25+ years now. I can remember when he was a young, up-and-coming talent getting his first run on Amazing Spider-Man - and that makes me feel old!
